Surigao: Caraga Police Cease An Armed Group Member Involve In Bloody Activities

POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT JR disclosed that Efraim Marcos Alicabo alias “Ep-Ep”, 32 years old, male, married, factory worker, and a resident of Purok 6A, Barangay Binongan, Veruela, Agusan del Sur was the brother-in-law of Umali Group (KAPATIRAN) leader.

Operatives apprehended the suspect with warrants of arrest issued by RTC, Branch 7, 11th Judicial Region, Baganga, Davao Oriental for frustrated murder with bail bond recommended amounting to ₱ 200,000.00 and violation for murder with no recommended bail bond.

Alicabo, a most wanted person, involved in killings and illegal activities in the area of Lingig, Surigao del Sur.

Umali Group (Kapatiran), was an armed group engaged in illegal logging, illegal mining and other criminal activities in Lingig, Surigao del Sur and Boston, Davao Oriental. The group operations had extended in the neighboring municipalities and in the town of Trento, Agusan del Sur.

Last February 4, his brother Eric M. Alicabo, 27 years old, was arrested for the crime of attempted murder and murder.

“We were able to capture the suspect through intelligence and investigation. The police force of Caraga will never stop apprehending this wanted persons.
