Shooting incident transpired at Purok GK Nazareth, Brgy. Buenavista, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at 6:40 PM of September 22, 2020. The victim was identified as Elias Cuestas Estano Jr., male, married, businessman, and a resident of aforementioned place.
Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was about to disembark from his driven Kia Bonggo with registration plate KAH1400 together with his live-in partner identified as Liza Abela Roa, when one of the two unidentified male suspects, wearing a black jacket approached the victim and shot him several times hitting his left eye area exiting on his occipital area.
The suspects fled after the incident onboard single mc Honda XRM, color black with white combination as their getaway motorcycle towards Brgy. Buenavista, Pagadian City.
Recovered from the crime scene were three (3) fired cartridge case of cal. 45.
The victim was then brought to Hofileña Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by his attending physician.
Police personnel from Pagadian City Police Station are still conducting thorough investigation to identify and arrest of suspects. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
