Be informed that at about 1:20 PM of November 26, 2020, personnel of Dapitan City Police Station (CPS) led by PSSg. Ronan Abila Quizo conducted anti-illegal gambling operation at Brgy. Sinonoc, Dapitan City and arrested JENELYN MELCHOR ECONG, 37 years old and DORENA ELUMBRA MUJILLO, 38 years old, both residents of said place.
Subject was arrested after caught in the act engaged in illegal gambling locally known as “Mahjong” while the other four (4) suspects evaded arrest.
Confiscated from their possession were one (1) table, one (1) set Mahjong tiles and bet money amounting to ₱ 285.00 in different denomination. Arrested suspects and the seized items are now in custody of Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.
