Mayor Beng Climaco Tuesday morning inspects the facilities at the Joaquin Enriquez Sports Complex in Baliwasan, specifically the dilapidating rubberized track oval.
The inspection, done together with City Engineer’s Office and City Sports Division, was concluded with a meeting with representatives from the DPWH and the contractor. The discussion focused on the defects at the grandstand to which the contractor committed to undertake rehabilitation. The contractor, the joint venture of RCDG and RU Aquino Construction, said the rubberized materials, ordered abroad are being awaited.
Also present were Vice Mayor Rommel Agan and Coun Bong Atilano.
The grandstand rehab project, costing P199M was turned over by the contractor and DPWH last February 20, 2019. Despite the turnover ceremony, the project has not been formally accepted by the city, thus, still under the care of the contractor and DPWH.
