The Department of Health (DOH) regional office 9 is set to conduct a Regional Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Vaccination Day dubbed as Zambayanihan Bakunahan Ligtas, Lakas, Buong Zampen scheduled on January 26 to 28.
This is the localized version of the DOH National Vaccination Day conducted last year.
Joshua Brilliantes , DOH 9 Regional Director, said for region 9 they are targeting 100,000 jabs a day which means 300,000 for the three days activity.
The office is targeting to vaccinate 46,475 first dose for pedia patients and adults, 39,677 for second dose, and 13,848 booster doses in the entire Zamboanga Peninsula.
For Dapitan the target is 1,685 per day, Dipolog City 1,552 per day, Isabela City 3,579, Pagadian City 5,278, Zamboanga City 13,673, Zamboanga del Norte 25,567, Zamboanga del Sur 28,547, and Zamboanga Sibugay 20,119.
The activity aims to vaccinate all the eligible population to protect them from the severe form of Covid-19.
According to Brilliantes, in region 9 there are still 1.3 million unvaccinated individuals when it comes to Covid-19.
Priority will be given to those who did not yet get their vaccines, second dose, and booster shots will also be accepted.
Rest of Adult Population 18 years old and above, those children 12 to 17 years old or Rest of Pediatric Population, and senior citizens, and those with comorbidities will be vaccinated during the activity.
