Surigao: Maritime Inter-Agency Exercise 2021-02 Successfully Held At The Hinituan Passage And At Battle Of Surigao Strait Museum

Surigao City – The Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao at Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City together with the other Maritime Agencies, Government Forces and the local government of Surigao City successfully conducted the Maritime Inter-Agency Exercise 2021-02 at the Hinituan Passage and at the Battle of Surigao Strait Museum.

The inter-agency exercise was participated by the Philippine Navy, Philippine Coast Guard, PNP Maritime Police, Philippine Army, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Surigao del Norte and Surigao City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils.

Philippine Army’s Eastern Mindanao Commander Lt. General Greg T. Almerol with 901st Brigade Commander Brigadier General George Banzon, Commander of Philippine Navy’s Joint Task Force Seahawk Commodore Carlos V. Sabarre, Coast Guard Northeastern Mindanao District Commander Captain Dennis A. Pandeagua, officers and personnel of the PNP Maritime Police Region 13 under the command of Police Lt. Col. Mario Cristino A. Lucero were present in the morning’s Closing Ceremonies.

City Mayor of Surigao, Ernesto U. Matugas Jr., as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS) was represented by Atty. Manuelito Delani, the City Legal Officer. He extended gratitude to the participating forces for the excellent performance during the successful conduct of the 3-days Maritime Exercises and Capability Demonstration. The Provincial and City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils also showed their support to the exercise.
