Based on the record, his case stemmed from the warrant of arrest issued on October 24, 2018 by the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 40, Tandag City under criminal case no 7355-17 with recommended bail bond of Php200,000.

He was the first person nabbed by Tandag City cops through the National Police Clearance System (NPCS).

Agustin, a Communist Terrorist Group member under Guerilla Front 21A Northeastern Mindanao Regional Committee was one of the suspects responsible in the attacked of Bitaugan Patrol Base manned by Special Forces Team 1602 in Barangay Bitaugan, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur last September 7, 2017.

“Years ago, police clearance was only issued by local police and can only identify cases filed in the specific area where it was issued. Under the NPCS, several crime-related databases are being used in record checking. It will show if someone has a blotter record and pending warrant of arrest,” PBGEN ROMEO M CARAMAT,JR PNP Caraga Director said.

In 2018, the PNP launched NPCS, a centralized database containing all records/cases from different towns and cities all over the country, to strengthen the police force’s capability to check criminal records.

Arrested person is in the custody of TCPS for proper disposition.
