Benguet cops discovered and destroyed P816, 000 worth of marijuana plants in the mountainous area of Kibungan and Bakun in a three-day operation that started on January 4 2021.
Operatives of Kibungan Municipal Police Station conducted marijuana eradication operations that resulted in the discovery of four marijuana plantation sites with 2,480 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants in Barangay Tacadang.
In the municipality of Bakun, A total of 1,600 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted in a plantation site with 400 square meters land area.
According to police report all discovered marijuana plants and marijuana seedlings were uprooted and burned on-site by the operatives.
Meanwhile, three drug personalities identified as Rey Fayong Changrapen, 30; Leonard Bagtila Apalla, 33; and Virgilio Bagtila Apalla, 41 were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by Benguet PPO operatives.
