With the energization of the 90-bed CDH annex building, Diaz said the hospital management is requesting 60 additional nurses, nursing attendants and auxiliary workers for the use of the new building structure.

The Department of Health – Western Visayas reported yesterday that Negros Occidental has 234 new COVID-19 active cases, and 198 for Bacolod City.

COVID-19 active cases in Negros Occidental rose to 1,521, as of January 20, according to reports of the Provincial Incident Management Team

Diaz also reported that two more nurses assigned at the Provincial Health Office tested positive for COVID-19, on top of 25 health care workers assigned in Capitol-managed hospitals.

On the other hand, the San Carlos City government has implemented the swab-upon-arrival scheme for fully vaccinated residents arriving at the city port. (Gilbert Bayoran via The Visayan Daily Star (TVDS), photo courtesy of TVDS)
