Mayor Beng Climaco mobilizes government resources to assist families that were rendered homeless following a huge conflagration in Summer Hills, near the Chinese Cemetery in barangay San Roque noontime today.
The mayor together with Councilors Pinpin Pareja and El King Omaga rushed to temporary evacuation center at the covered court in Talungun Drive to distribute relief goods as well as facilitate other assistance such as collapsible tents for the displaced families.
The fire broke out shortly before 1pm Thursday and razed to the ground more or less 100 houses based on initial reports.
Personnel from the City Social Welfare and Development Office are conducting assessment and validation of the affected families for the provision of the needed assistance.
