The Department of Tourism (DOT) regional office 9 now has its new regional director after the former regional director was promoted to a higher position.
The new Regional Director of DOT 9 was identified by Myra Paz V. Abubakar, Tourism Undersecretary, as Crisanta Marlene Paje Rodriguez.
Her appointment came February 14, signed by Tourism Secretary, Bernadette Romulo Puyat.
The new regional director came from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources where she also served as Regional Executive Director for (DENR) region 9.
She replaced Abubakar who was promoted to tourism undersecretary last August 2021.
The areas of DOT 9 includes: Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga City, Isabela City, Dapitan City, Pagadian City and Dipolog City.
