President Rodrigo Roa Duterte acknowledged all the local officials in the different local government units in the province of Surigao del Norte during his visit and inauguration of the new Siargao Island Sports and Tourism Complex, and the Catangnan-Cabitoonan Bridge in Dapa, Surigao del Norte. He also emphasized that Siargao Island as the Surfing Capital is verdant green. “Do not allow anybody to ruin your environment here,” he cited.
In his message during the inauguration of the major projects in Siargao Island, President Rodrogo Roa Duterte emphasizes that these accomplishments are part and parcel of the people’s money. He said that it is his duty to distribute it and use for the implementation of significant projects that would benefit every Filipino.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte stressed that (political) dynasties are not bad, but those family politicians who monopolize businesses and create illegal activities. “That’s why let me explain what I feel and utter in public. I love Siargao and the entire Philippines because it is my country. As long as I am the President, I will protect my country,” he cited during his message in time with today’s inauguration of the new Island Sports and Tourism Complex, and Catangnan-Cabitoonan Bridge in Dapa, Surigao del Norte.

During the program, the President unveils the project marker of the Catangnan-Cabitoonan Three-Point Bridge System together with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and local government officials of Surigao Del Norte.
The Bridge System, which is composed of the Catangnan-Cabitoonan Bridge and Libertad 1 and 2 Bridges, aims to provide faster mobility and accessibility within the world-renowned Island destination.
Likewise, the sports and tourism complex is ready to host the Caraga Region’s sporting events with its completed sporting facilities including a gymnasium, track oval, swimming pool and multi-purpose buildings. (RPN DXKS Surigao via PIA JBPeña)
