Surigao: PNP Caraga’s anti-illegal drugs op nets Php102K worth of shabu, High Value Individual nabbed

Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – The region’s law enforcers continue to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs which resulted in the confiscation of suspected shabu and arrest of the suspect during the implementation of Search Warrant conducted in Butuan City, last Friday (February 4).

POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR, PNP Caraga Director, identified the suspect as Joan B. Diamola 43 years old, jobless, and a resident of P-9, Barangay Ong Yiu, Butuan City.

He was arrested by City Intelligence Drug Enforcement Unit (CIDEU) of Butuan City Police Office together with Butuan City Police Station (BCPS) 2, Crime Investigation and Detention Group, Agusan del Norte (CIDG ADN) and in coordination of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) RO 13 jointly conducted anti-illegal drugs operation through implementation of Search Warrant issued by RTC 10TH Judicial Region Branch 33, Libertad, Butuan City around 4:30AM.

Diamola is identified as High Value Individual (HVI).

Confiscated from Diamola’s possession were 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams with street value of Php102,000.00 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The arrested suspect is now facing charges for violation of Section 11 and 12 of Article II of R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“We must continue to hit hard on these drug dealers who are behind the distribution of illegal drugs in support of the national anti-drug campaign,” RD CARAMAT JR disclosed.
