Surigao: PMA Class ‘92 vows to leave a long-lasting legacy in Caraga

Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – Six alumnus of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1992 assigned in Northern Mindanao has decided to take upon themselves the task of bringing peace and violent-free May 2022 election yesterday, February 4, during the launching of “KASIMBAYANAN”.

Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 Director POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M. CARAMAT JR., the only member of the six who joins the ranks of the Philippine National Police, divulged the master plan of his classmates of “Tanglaw-Diwa” to take the opportunity of commanding thousands of men in providing peace and order by pacifying rival candidates and election parties, suppressing insurgency and prioritizing public safety that is key in achieving a peaceful and violent-free election this May 9, 2022.

Joining him in this quest is BGEN ADONIS ARIEL G ORIO, commander of 402nd Brigade (BDe) of the 4th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army which covers the provinces of Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, and Butuan City in Caraga, and the province of Misamis Oriental in Region 10 (Northern Mindanao).

Also a member of “Tanglaw-Diwa” is Brigade Commander of the newly created 901st BDe, BGEN GEORGE L BANZON. The brigade covers the provinces of Surigao del Norte including Siargao Island, part of Surigao del Sur, part of Agusan del Norte, and Dinagat Islands.

Another “mistah” of PBGEN CARAMAT JR is the commander of 401st BDe, COLONEL ROMMEL B ALMARIA, who is responsible in the area of Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur. His deputy, COL. FRANCISCO F LORENZO JR., is also a member of PMA CLASS ‘92.

Finally COLONEL EMIL J CRUZ is the sixth alumnus of PMA Class 1992 in Caraga and serve as the deputy brigade commander of 402nd BDe. COL. CRUZ is also present during yesterday’s event.

The six classmates hopes to utilize the command and responsibility given to them in attaining the most peaceful national and local elections in the history of this nation.

“My classmates have all agreed that we will make this coming election in May 9, 2022 in Caraga the most peaceful in the whole Philippines. Unity can make a difference especially in the field of policing and it can make changes especially in our operational capabilities like fighting criminality and all possible threats. In the concept of togetherness, we can dispel mediocrity.” PBGEN. CARAMAT stated.
