LGU Claver kicks off the year’s National Children’s Month celebration with the distribution of nutritious meals to 1,096 preschoolers aged three to four (3-4) years old enrolled in twenty (20) barangay child development centers (day care centers) in the municipality.
The 28th National Children’s Month with the theme “New Normal Na Walang Iwanan: Karapatan ng bawat bata ating tutukan! is successfully made possible with the leadership of Mayor Georgia D. Gokiangkee through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWD) in collaboration and partnership with PNP and the Barangay Officials.
The National Children’s Month is annually celebrated every November under the Republic Act (RA) 10661. It commemorates the adoption of the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC) on November 20, 1989. It seeks to instill the significance for the promotion and protection of children’s rights.
