Shooting incident transpired at Brgy. Lapakan, Zamboanga City at 11:19 PM of December 16, 2020. The victim was identified as Rodel Gregorio Y Alfonso, legal age, male, married and a resident of Brgy. Lapakan, Zamboanga City while suspect was identified as Michael Eijansantos Y. Francisco, legal age, male, married and a resident of Brgy. Lapakan, Zamboanga City.
Investigation conducted revealed that prior to the incident said victim and suspect together with other two (2) companions had a drinking spree. Thereafter, the wife of the suspect angrily arrived at the vicinity and had an argument with the suspect. After which, the suspect draw his Cal 38 and shot the victim with no apparent reason.
Moreover, said victim sustained gunshot wounds on the left side portion of his face and at his left shoulder and was immediately brought to Zamboanga City Medical Center for medical treatment.
Further, a hot pursuit operation is still being conducted by Zamboanga City Police Station 3 for the immediate arrest of the identified suspect who fled towards Brgy. Lamisahan, Zamboanga City after the commission of the crime.
