Drowning Incident
Drowning incident occurred at LGU Tukuran Beach Resort, Barangay Lower Bayao, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur at about 4:50 PM of January 25, 2021. The victim was identified as Remegiedo Pogoy, 58 years old, male, and a resident of Purok Malungay, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was having a drinking session with his friends at LGU Tukuran Beach Resort, Barangay Lower Bayao, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur. Allegedly, a few hours after, the victim went to the sea water but unfortunately was found floating lifeless at the middle of the sea by the fisherman and subsequently brought to LGU Health Center, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur for further treatment but was declared dead by the attending physician Dra. Charity Vega. The cadaver was brought by his relatives at Pagadian City for proper disposition.
Shooting Incident
Shooting incident transpired at about 11:00 PM of January 25, 2021 at Purok 3, Barangay Boyugan West, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur. The victim was identified as Eddie Pantalan Enoc, male, married, 52 years old, farmer, and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Boyugan West, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur, who was shot to death by three unidentified male suspects. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was sleeping inside his house together with his wife and two siblings, when three unidentified male suspects armed with undetermined caliber of firearms forcibly entered the door of their house and without any words shot the abovementioned victim several times hitting his chest and head which resulted to his instantaneous death, while suspects immediately fled after the incident. The motive of the incident is yet to be determined. PNP personnel of Kumalarang MPS are still conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspects.
Top 7 Priority Target Drug Suspect Arrested in Ipil Drug Bust
Police operatives of Ipil Municipal Police Station and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted buy bust operation at Purok Orchids, Brgy. Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 2:30 PM, January 25, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Jayson Generoso Carpila (Top 7 Priority Target, Municipal Level) 23 years old, jobless, student 3rd year college, and a resident of Purok Rosal Brgy. Veterans Village, Ipil. Recovered and confiscated items were; two (2) sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 0.165 grams and DDB value of P5000.00, Mio sporty color black/pink with plate no.091210 and php500.00 (mark money) with serial number bu 548868. Markings and inventory was done in the presence of Barangay Captain of Brgy. Poblacion, Ipil and media representative. He is now under the custody of Ipil MPS while confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to the SOCO for examination. A case for violation of R.A 9165 is being prepared against the suspect.
4 Died in Road Crash Accident
Road crash accident transpired at Upper Tungawan, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay Province at about 12:00 PM of January 25, 2021. The vehicles involved were described as Toyota Hilux color black with plate # p4 M714 driven by June Rey Albios Siete, 23 years old, travelling towards Ipil direction and Honda XRM color black/yellow with temporary plate # 09010339680 driven by Diosdado Villaruz, male, 46 years together with his back riders identified as Arnold Cabusao Arquiza, male, 34 years old, Hazel Pepito Wamilda, female , 33 years, Zian Arquiza, boy, age 4 years old (died); and Ariane Arquiza, baby girl, 1 year old (survived), travelling towards Zamboanga City direction. Initial investigation disclosed that the Toyota encroached the other lane and accidentally bumped the approaching the Honda that resulted to untimely death of the driver of Honda and 3 other passengers. Fortunately, one child/baby on board the motorcycle survived the accident. All victims were immediately rushed to Municipal Health Center while the driver of the Toyota Hilux voluntarily surrendered to Tungawan Municipal Police Station.
Top 10 Most Wanted of Zamboanga City Police Station 6, Caught in Police Ops
Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Brgy Talon-talon, Zamboanga City at about 11 AM of January 25, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Al-Russel Salahuddin Y Hadjiula, 22 years old, male, single and resident of Kasalamatan drive, Brgy Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City (Ranked Top 10 in Most Wanted person of Zamboanga City Police Station 6). He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for Attempted Homicide with Criminal Case No.46548 signed by Presiding Judge Hon. Roncesvalles B. Filoteo dated January 12, 2021 of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 32, Zamboanga City with recommended bail bond of Php 100, 000.00. He is now under the said police station custody prior to turn over to court concerned.
Top 1 in Most Wanted Person of Zamboanga City Police Station 11, Arrested
Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Barangay Sta Barbara, Zamboanga City at about 4:40 PM of January 25, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Elmer Sahi y Sandangan, 21 years old, male, single, resident of Barangay Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City (Ranked Top 1 in Most Wanted Person of Zamboanga City Police Station 11). He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for Rape as defined and penalized under Art. 266-A (I) of the RPC, as amended by RA 8353 (2 counts) Criminal Case no. 45912 to 45913 and Rape through Sexual Assault as defined and penalized under Art. 266-A (2) of the RPC as amended by RA 8353 in relation to Section 5(b) of RA 7610 (2counts) Criminal Case No. 45914 to 45915 issued and signed by Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court 9th Judicial Region, Branch 15, Zamboanga City dated October 28, 2020 with no recommended bail bond for CC No. 45912 to 45913 while Php 200,000.00 for Criminal Case No. 45914 to 45915. He is now under the custody of prior turn over to court concerned. Progress report will follow.
Rape Suspect Captured in Sergio Osmeña
Police personnel of Sergio Osmeña Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga del Norte 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Brgy Venus, Sergio Osmena, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:00 PM of January 25, 2021. This resulted to the arrest of Rochel Macasandag Enanyog, 34 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of said place, by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape (four counts) docketed under Criminal Case nos. 24427, 24428, 24429, 24430 issued by Judge Jose Rene Gallemit Dondoyano of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 7, Dipolog City dated December 16, 2020 with no bail bond recommended. He is categorized as Top 4 Most Wanted Person Municipal Level of Sergio Osmeña MPS. The arrested accused is now under the custody of Sergio Osmeña MPS prior to turn over to issuing court.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Fernando Delos Santos Altamera, (Top 2 Most Wanted Person at Dapitan City) 29 years old, single, farmer by occupation and a resident of Brgy. Sigayan, Dapitan City. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Carnapping and Arson docketed under Criminal Case # 18108 and 18107 issued by Acting Presiding Judge Oscar D Tomarong, Of Rtc Branch 6, Bulwagan Ng Katarungan, Dipolog City dated September 12, 2013 with bail bond of Php40,000.00 and Php180,000.00 in each case respectively. The arrested accused were now under the custody of dapitan cps prior to turn over to issuing court.
