Pagadian City Police Chief PLTCOL MANUEL RYAN P LIM expressed hope that the newly-mounted PNP SAF Company based at PNP Directorate for Integrated Police Operations Western Mindanao (DIPO-WM) Headquarters, Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City will continue to wage a relentless battle against terrorism, insurgency, and other threats in its area of responsibility.

The Special Action Force is the elite unit of the Philippine National Police. Today, its functions include the conduct of counterinsurgency operations, counter-terrorism in urban and rural areas, hostage rescue, civil disturbance management, search and rescue operations in times of disasters and calamities and other special operations.
