Pagadian: Headline DA-BFAR, Conducted Examination For Fisheries Scholarship Program

Region 9 –  The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) Regional Office No. IX successfully conducted its simultaneous qualifying examination of the Fisheries Scholarship Program (FSP) for the incoming college students of Academic School Year 2022 – 2023 at the different testing school centers in the region particularly in Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology, Fort Pilar, Zamboanga City, Sta. Lucia National High School, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, Dipolog School of Fisheries, Barangay Olingan, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte and Ipil Elementary Central School, Poblacion, Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay on November 6, 2021.

A total turnout of 200 student examinees or 87.70% out of the 228 applicants took their luck on passing the said examination of which 60 belong to Zamboanga City, 89-Zamboanga Sibugay, 18 -Zamboanga del Sur, and 33 for Zamboanga del Norte. There will be 20 individuals who will be selected for the Fisherfolk Children Education Grant (FCEG); three (3) under the Fisheries Industry Leaders Grant (FILG); and another three (3) for the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples per region.

The passers-examinees will be informed and notified and the official results will also be posted on BFAR IX’s official Facebook page.
