Hacking incident transpired at Purok Acacia, Bangco, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 12:10 AM of December 31, 2020, wherein victim identified as Ronie Santos Daguio, 35 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Acacia, Bangco, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay was hacked by his own brother identified as Ruel Santos Daguio, 43 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Acacia, Bangco, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Initial investigation conducted revealed that while the suspect and his brother Ruben S. Daguio had an argument regarding their farmland, the suspect pulled-out his bolo and attempted to hack his brother. The victim tried to pacify his brothers but he was hacked by the suspect hitting him on his head and right forearm.
The suspect immediately fled on foot heading to mountainous area of Brgy. Bangco, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay after the incident, while the victim was brought to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.
PNP personnel of Titay Municipal Police Station are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspect.
