Bacolod City remains under Alert Level 2; Leonardia issues new EO

Bacolod City – The city remains under Alert Level 2 from Dec. 1-15 and Mayor Evelio Leonardia reiterated anew his appeal to Bacolodnons to strictly comply with the minimum health protocols because the COVID-19 is not yet over.

Leonardia also issued Executive Order No. 59 mandating that provisions of EO 53, released in mid-November when the National Inter-Agency Task Force downgraded the city’s status from Alert Level 4 to Alert Level 2, will still be in effect.

NIATF co-chair and concurrent acting Presidential Spokesman Karlo Nograles disclosed that Bacolod stays under Alert Level 2.

Leonardia said that EO 53 “shall continue to be in full force and effect” for the duration of the extension” of AL2 status.

These provisions include, among others, the observance of curfew hours from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Also covered is the modified policy on sale of liquor and other intoxicating beverages, whose consumption in authorized outlets are allowed only from 12 noon until 10 p.m.

Intra-zonal and inter-zonal travel into and out of Bacolod was allowed following the issuance of EO 53, with Bacolod-bound passengers only required to present their vaccination cards, while those who are unvaccinated must present a negative RT-PCR test result obtained within 72 hours prior to their arrival in Bacolod City.
