Mt. Province — More than ₱ 3.9 million worth of fully grown marijuana plants were destroyed during an anti-illegal drugs operation in the mountainous area of Sitio Tokayong, Barangay Saclit in Sadanga on November 14, 2021, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
Based on the police reports, joint operatives of Mountain Province PPO, RID – PROCOR, and PDEA Mt. Province conducted a marijuana eradication operation in two plantation sites on Sunday.
Operatives uprooted more than 3, 650 fully grown marijuana plants and discovered additional processed dried marijuana leaves worth ₱ 3, 970,000.
The people behind the plantation sites are yet to be identified.
The discovered marijuana plants, bricks, and dried marijuana stalks & leaves were burned on-site.
