National Task Force against Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid 19) chief implementer visited Zamboanga City to personally supervise the vaccination of children 5 to 11 years old Tuesday afternoon.
Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr. National Task Force against Covid 19 chief implementer visited two vaccination sites SM and Zamboanga Central School.
“Napakaganda ng vaccination very organized at mabilis,” Galvez said.
He again stressed that the vaccine being used are safe and effective.
“Para tuloy tuloy na yung opening ng classes ng mga bata, maka pasyal na sila, laro, at gaya ni lolo, nanay, tatay, ate, at kuya, ngayon si bunso naman ang ating babakunahan.” Galvez added.
The city government of Zamboanga officially started the Pediatric patients age 5 to 11 year’s old vaccination last February14.
Parents accompanied their children to the vaccination sites converted into a child friendly area and with treats available for children after vaccination.
Reformulated Pfizer vaccine were used for the said age group to protect these children from severe form of Coronavirus Disease 2019.
Parents presented birth certificate of their child or proof of guardianship. Children were also assessed before vaccination and were also observed after vaccination.
