Zamboanga: Mayor thanks vax teams, volunteers, all sectors for vaccination feat

The 3-day National Vaccination Drive concluded Wednesday with an impressive feat that demonstrated strong collaboration between the government and the private sectors.

Mayor Beng Climaco expressed gratitude to the vaccination teams, volunteers, government and private agencies, business establishments, medical associations, security sector, City Health Office (CHO) and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Emergency Operations Center (EOC) team and all others who contributed to the successful conduct of the massive vaccination campaign.

The mayor likewise thanked the residents for responding to the call of the local government to submit themselves for vaccination and be protected against COVID-19.

“Gracias a Dios por todos esfuerzos, sacrificio y amor na Vacunacion Nacional! Con todo ya trabaja hasta na 98 Barangay voluntarios y agencia national y aquellos que ya contribuhi también todo que ya manda man vacuna. Ustedes di aton fuerza na favor de Dios!”, Mayor Climaco stated.

Day 1 of the vaccination drive yielded a total of 36, 445 jabs while the second day’s initial tally was 31,921.

Mayor Climaco described the result of the 3-day vax drive as very inspiring amidst the challenges encountered.

The activity was a clear manifestation of strong public-private partnership in Zamboanga City as all sectors came out and contributed in whatever way they can for the success of the activity, she added.

The CHO has opened a total of 52 vaccination sites that composed of barangay health centers, malls, schools, private buildings, hospitals and a church in a bid to boost inoculation of the eligible population. (Sheila Covarrubias)
