The City Government Friday finalized preparations for the National Vaccination Days slated November 29 to December 1, targeting to jab 38, 992 individuals per day for a total of 116, 977 during the 3 day-activity.
City Health Officer Dr. Dulce Miravite has identified 50 vaccination sites with manpower component coming from the CHO, private institutions/companies and volunteers, to be operational during the said activity.
The vaccination sites compose of the 24 health districts, 17 schools and malls and 9 government and private hospitals.
Mayor Beng Climaco is mobilizing all government resources to include the barangays through the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to ensure the successful turnout of the 3-day massive vaccination activity.
She likewise appealed to the private sector to come in and share in the effort by making their buildings available and or their personnel to serve as volunteers in vaccination sites.
President Duterte has declared Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 as the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan National Covid-19 Vaccination Days” through Proclamation 1253 issued today, Nov. 25.
The 3-day national vaccination drive aims to boost the country’s vaccination rate against COVID-19 and will be spearheaded by the Department of Health and DILG nationwide. (Sheila Covarrubias)
