Zambo cops on narco list told to retire

A local policeman whose name is on the narco list of President Rodrigo Duterte has been advised to clear his name and seek early retirement.

Col. Thomas Joseph Martir, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) Director, declined to name the said police officer but claimed the said policeman was preciously assigned with Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Police Office and was transferred to ZCPO last July 2019.

The policeman’s name is listed among the 357 policemen accross the country who are allegedly either involved in the trade of illegal drugs or protector.

Martir said, he was in reciept of list assigned in the different police units in the country.

Martir however said, the concerned policeman “plans to retire” and in fact turned over his firearms to his sister last week and disappeared.

He in turn advised accordingly the policemen to clear his name and make good of this words to seek early retirement.

Martir called on his men to “mend their ways and to be model of the society.”
