USec Lorraine T Badoy, PCOO and the Focal person of NCIP, NTF-ELCAC together with MGEN REUBEN S BASIAO AFP, Commander, 10ID, PA; BGEN NOLASCO A MEMPIN AFP, Commander, 1003rd Bde; LTC NORMAN E VALDEZ INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 56IB and Hon Jonnie A Libayao, Mayor had a dialogue with the Indigenous People (IP) of Talaingod, Davao del Norte on June 27, 2020.
The dialogue aimed to personally hear testimonies from the IPs on the veracity of exploitation done by the CPP-NPA-NDF in the IP communities of Talaingod.
During the visit, USec Badoy conferred with the Former Rebels (FRs) on their experiences about how the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) twisted their minds to fight against the government and the efforts of the government to win them back.
During the dialogue, the IPs expressed their personal experiences on the atrocities done by the CTGs on the innocent lives of the IP families.
Afterwhich, the team conducted interview with the families who went out from Haran on how the CTGs used the vulnerability of the IPs for their interest, propaganda and fund generation.
USec Badoy lauded the support, dedication and untiring contribution of the AFP in the development of the IP communities and in maintaining security and peace in the municipality of Talaingod.
