The Surigao City Rotary Club donated this morning 8 brand new units of dual band VHF Radio transceiver to Surigao City Police Station.
President Louise “Jojo” Chua said communication equipment is very vital for the police force in preventing the occurence of crime and immediate response when a crime is committed.
City Police Chief Lt. Col. Christian Rafols II expressed his deepest gratitude to the officers and members of the club for helping the PNP. They have handheld radio units that were already old and batteries get easily drained. “These are very important for our operation, aside from being brand new units, the battery operation will not be easily exhausted,” Rafols said.
