Cadaver found in Molave
A dead body was found at the riverbank of Sitio Nacua, Barangay Dipolo, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur at about 1:00 PM of August 24, 2021. The victim’s body was half-buried at the riverbank with his buttocks and part of his back and left leg only visible. The victim was identified as Reneboy Simborio Cuevas, 31 years old, single, jobless resident of Purok 3 Barangay Lower Sto. Niño, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. According to the victim’s sister, Marivic Cuevas Itang, the last time she heard about the whereabouts of his brother was last August 22, 2021 around 9:00 PM, the victim went to the riverbank near their house while under the influence of liquor. Molave Municipal Police Station sought the assistance of Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Crime Laboratory Office to process the scene.
Murder Suspect Arrested in Dumingag
PNP personnel of Dumingag Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Zamboanga del Sur PFU; 1st Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, NICA RO9 and 902nd Maneuver Company-RMFB9 conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Barangay Bag-ong Valencia, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur at about 2:00 PM of August 24, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Danilo Saclagon y Gumawid, 27 years old, farmer, and presently residing at Purok 6 Barangay Labangon, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. He was arrested for the crime of Murder docketed under criminal case no. 2021-10-4242 issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur dated May 19, 2021 with no bail bond recommended. He is now temporarily detained at Dumingag MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

He was arrested for the crime of Murder docketed under criminal case no. 2021-10-4242 issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur dated May 19, 2021 with no bail bond recommended. He is now temporarily detained at Dumingag MPS for documentation and proper disposition.
