Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Nopulan, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur at 7:35 PM of August 16, 2021. Victim was identified as Ricky Abing Anggot, male, married, 43 years old, farmer and a resident of Barangay Pityanan, Don Victoriano Chiongbian, Misamis Occidental while suspect was identified as Rodolfo Madanlo Felix Jr., male, 30 years old, married, construction worker and a resident of above-mentioned place. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was having a drinking session at the house owned by certain Carmelo Anggot, while the suspect was in front of that house playing music on his Android cellular phone. A brown out suddenly occurred which prompted the suspect to leave for a while, after which, the latter found out that his phone was no longer around and he discovered it was allegedly taken by the victim. While the suspect was about to ask the victim (Ricky Anggot), the latter suddenly punched him which prompted Rodolfo Madanlo Felix Jr to stab the victim. Further, the victim was slightly hit on his lower left back and immediately brought to nearest hospital for medical assistance. Suspect was arrested by responding police officer and is now under the custody of Josefina Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Purok Pluto, Barangay Bangkerohan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 9:30 PM of August 16, 2021. Victim was identified as Victor Macahis Baluarte (father of the suspect), 54 years old, married, engineer while suspect was identified as Levi Joshua Cataluña Baluarte, 25 years old, male, single, engineer both are residents of the said place. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the suspect arrived at their residence, anxious from the recent break up with his girlfriend. The victim tried to talk to the suspect but without any apparent reason, the suspect stabbed the victim using a knife hitting his right eye. the victim was immediately brought to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital for medication while the suspect was arrested by the responding elements of Ipil Municipal Police Station.
Drug Suspect Arrested in Siocon
PNP personnel of Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit together with Siocon Municipal Police Station, 2nd Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, 905th Maneuver Company-RMFB9 and intel operatives of Baliguian Municipal Police Station conducted drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Poblacion, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte at 4:18 PM of August 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Glen Mari Lacaya Tayag alias “Epoy Tayag”, 31 years old, male, married, businessman, resident of Stonehill, Surabay, R.T. Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay and now residing at Barangay Poblacion, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte. Confiscated during the operation were: one (1) piece small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “Shabu”; one (1) piece small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “Shabu” (possession); two thousand pesos (₱ 2,000.00) in different denominations; one (1) piece five hundred (₱ 500.00) recovered as buy bust money; and one (1) unit black Nokia cellular phone. A case for violation of RA 9165 was being readied for filling at Provincial Prosecutor’s Office against the suspect. Confiscated items will be brought to Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Crime Laboratory for examination.
