Camp Sang-An, Zamboanga del Sur – A team from 1st Civil-Military Operations Battalion (CMOB) transported COVID-19 vaccination medical supplies from DOH Regional Office in Zamboanga City to the Zamboanga del Sur Integrated Provincial Health Office (ZDS IPHO) Monday, January 17.
1st Lt. Lady Vee Gilvero and her team picked up boxes of auto disable syringes, safety collector boxes, and universal transport medium needed in administering the COVID-19 vaccination in the province utilizing two KM250 provided by the Tabak Division’s Service Support Battalion.
The items were delivered and received by Dr. Dahlia Aseniero, the Health Education Promotion Officer (HEPO) of the ZDS IPHO, on January 18.
With the current pandemic, the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division will continue to provide its manpower and needed capabilities to assist its partners and stakeholders both in the public and private sectors in extending help to the public, especially health workers.
Zamboanga del Sur was placed under Alert Level 3 due to the increase in cases of COVID-19. The heightened alert level took effect last January 16 and will last until the end of the month, as declared by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
