Rep. Eric Go Yap (ACT-CIS party-list) and Benguet Caretaker is working out for the possible funding of road opening in the remotest village of Tacadang in Benguet province.

After a grueling work week in Congress due to the budget deliberations, Yap spent the weekend break to visit his constituents in the remote area of Kibungan to hear and address their needs and other concerns.

“We will figure out the funding for a road opening in Tacadang to lessen their travel time. This shall provide more opportunities to the families as it shall ease their delivery of products and their access to services available in the town proper. Also, we will allocate funding for the construction of a new school building for Senior High in Tacadang National High School.” Yap noted.

Yap committed to donate four (4) units of sewing machine for the community’s education and livelihood.

Earlier, Yap also distributed relief packs to the families affected by the pandemic.

“We are always looking for long-term solutions to address the needs of our kababayans in Benguet. We are working with a grassroots approach – we consult with them so we could come up with effective and sustainable mechanisms to improve their living conditions.” Yap said.

He committed to regularly visit and bring services to families and communities in the province, no matter how remote their area is.

“Instead of them going to our office, we are extending our public service to all of our constituents by personally going to their barangays,” Yap pronounced.
