Davao City: Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte cited the efforts of medical professionals as the reason behind the good number of recovering coronavirus disease 2019 patients in the city.
During her regular interview over the city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio, Mayor Inday said doctors and other medical staff have been doing their best to help COVID-19 patients recover.
“The doctors are doing their best to help the patients battle Covid-19” she said.
In the entire Davao region, 40 COVID-19 patients have recovered. Thirty-four of the figure is from the city alone – nearly half the number of the 69 COVID-19 cases recorded.
Mayor Inday also expressed her gratitude, during the Araw ng Kagitingan, to the health workers for their efforts to battle the COVID-19.
“The passion, interest, and skills of our health care workers to treat the patients are very vital for their recovery,” she said. “The decision of the doctors is a big contribution to the high recovery rate in the city.” CIO
