Davao City: Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte has assured that the city government will be able to sustain its relief operations even with a prolonged Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
Speaking over the Davao City Disaster Radio, Mayor Inday said that the city has enough budget to support the relief operations for those greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
She said aside from the sustainability of the fund, the city government also opened a donation account for individuals and groups wanting to donate and the help sent in have further boosted the local capability to aid the needy.
“We opened a donation account and we are using it now for the relief operations,” she said.
Aside from the donations, the city government is also using its disaster fund to aid the needs of the public.
“We are also using our disaster fund. So far, our budget can keep up with the relief operation,” she said. CIO
