Hacking incident occurred at Purok Violeta, Looc Estaka, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 7:00 AM of December 8, 2020. The victim was identified as Marilou Laput Bakeke, 42 years old, married; female and a resident of abovementioned place, who was hacked by her husband identified as Joseph Andung Bakeke, 42 years old, married, also a resident of said place.
Investigation disclosed that the victim hacked his wife using a sharp bolo inside their bedroom many times hitting the different parts of her body. The victim sustained multiple hacked wounds and was brought to Corazon C. Aquino Hospital, Brgy. Bara, Dipolog City by the responding ambulance for medical treatment.
Further the victim was in stable condition and to be transferred at Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center for surgery while the aforementioned suspect voluntarily surrendered to Dipolog City Police Station.
He is now under the police custody of said police station for proper disposition.
