An emergency meeting was called by Gov. Francisco Matugas and Cong. Bingo Matugas with Surigao del Norte Mayors yesterday in Pasay City.
The meeting discussed on the urgent issues of
1) proper handling of tourists and travelers to protect the province from NCoV and African Swine Flu
2) Postponement of the Caraga Regional Athletic Meet and
3) other immediate concerns of each municipality.
The father and son leaders in Surigao del Norte
took the opportunity to meet the mayos as most of them are in Manila for an official meeting with the President yesterday at SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
They decided to move the schedule of Regional Sports Competition to March 21 to 25, 2020. The inspection by superintendents and regional officials will be on Feb 26 where the blessing of the Siargao Sports Complex is tentatively scheduled.
