The ′′ Freedom of Information Conference for Local Government Units-Mindanao Leg ′′ was held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Zoom Teleconference.
The convened conference was highlighted by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) under the leadership of PCOO Secretary Jose Ruperto Martin Andanar.
As it is known that the conduct of this activity aims to educate Best Practices among local resources in implementing their programs related to Freedom of Information (FOI), and also encourage other companies better local here in the country, there to start it, also included in the passing of their FOI ordinance.
During that event, Secretary Martin Andanar, Senator Christopher Bong Go, DILG Secretary Eduardo N greeted in a few messages. What is ULAP President, Governor Dax Cua.
While giving the overview of the FOI is PCOO Undersecretary, Atty. Kristian Ablan, who is also the Program Director.
Atty. Ablan has more to explain. It is clear that the FOI program is now being encouraged by our national government to all local resources here in the country has come from as it is obvious that President Rodrigo Duterte’s leadership is the motivation for a saggy n (Transparency Governance), by giving opportunity to people who have access to information regarding official transactions in our government, where again according to Senator Bong Go, that this FOI is President Duterte’s program for reform (reform program).
Four local selected properties shared their “Best Practices” along with implementing their established FOI ordinance, as well as creating a variety of local programs that will help our people instead of learning. Help the benefits from our local resources.
Local governments in Bukidnon province have been attacked on a daily basis, via Supervisory Administrative Officer, Mr. Hansel Echavez, province of Surigao Del Norte, via Acting Provincial Administrator, Atty. Premolito Plaza, Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman and Pasig City Mayor Victor Ma. Regis Sotto (Vico Sotto).
Also more to be narrated by Atty. It currently has 58 local properties (rural, urban and urban) have successfully developed their FOI ordinances, following this, also fighting local properties that have not yet been read- and with their FOI ordinance on moving forward.
As a conclusion, our national government continues to encourage local authorities here in the country to further their mutual Freddom of Information Ordinance and to create and implement programs as well. it reaches there in their locality.
