The cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) deaths now reached 161 this was reported by the City Health Office reported.
Dr. Dulce Miravite, City Health Officer told RPN DXXX, of the 161 deaths, 98 are males while 63 are females.
Some of these deaths, the patients have comorbidities such as asthma, diabetes, hypertension, and others.
The age bracket of these deaths were as young as 5 years old and as old as 94 years old.
For the top barangays which recorded Covid deaths Baliwasan 15, Tetuan 14, Talon Talon and Tumaga 9, Camino Nuevo, San Jose Gusu, and Sta. Maria 7, Campo Islam, Kasangyangan, Putik, San Roque, 6 cases, and Ayala and Pasonanca 5 cases.
Due to the pandemic the health department is advising no mass gathering is allowed, practicing social distancing is a must, and we wear our facemask and shields to avoid Covid 19.
For Zamboanga alone, Covid cases are now at 3,576, for recoveries 3,248, for active cases 167, and death 161. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
