The intensified operations of different police units in the Cordillera resulted to the arrest of 43 wanted personalities with warrants of arrest from January 24 to January 30, 2022.
Based on the record from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), Benguet PPO has arrested 19 wanted persons then followed by Baguio City Police Office with 15, Apayao and Kalinga both with four arrests; and Abra with one arrest.
Among the arrested personalities is the most wanted person in the region for the crime of Rape and six in the Provincial Level.
Anti ilIegal drug operation
In a week-long anti-illegal drugs operation in the Cordillera, eight drug personalities were arrested while a total of P8,700,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were eradicated from January 23 to January 29, 2022.
The series of operations conducted by PROCOR cops and PDEA-CAR resulted in the arrest of eight drug personalities. Six in Benguet, one in Baguio City and one in Abra while nine (9) marijuana plantation sites were eradicated in Benguet and one in Kalinga.
