Region 9 – In compliance with the IATF resolution 101 series of 2021, approving the uniform travel protocols for land, sea and air, region 9 and other neighboring provinces officially released the latest guidelines in accordance with the law, in which decided to fully adopt the above mentioned declaration.
By the power vested to all local government units, provinces in the region come up with different health protocol as quarantine status is concerned.
An executive order No. 21-15 s;2021 released by the province of Zamboanga del Norte signed by Governor Roberto Y. Uy stated that travelers are allowed to enter the premises provided that they complied with local requirements and pass symptom screening at entry/exit point. however, those travelers from restricted areas under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and Modified Enhanced Community quarantine (MECQ) shall not be allowed entry into the province.
On the other hand, Zamboanga City recently posted the travel guide required to enter the ground, where travelers must present frequent documents based on their category, however, a negative RT-PCR test result is still mandatory.
Neighboring province such Misamis Occidental officially open borders with exception based on Executive order No 11 s;2021 signed by Governor Philip T. Tan. It high lightened that there’s no age restriction for travelers, travel authority, medical certificate, and acceptance shall no longer be required. Borders will remain but limit the functions for clinical assessment only.
While writing this article, the province of Zamboanga del Sur and other provinces are currently finalizing the Executive order expected release today. Updates of information shall be posted thereafter.
Up to date, all borders in the region no longer required travel authority and medical certificate given that quarantine shall be lift except those who show symptoms of COVID 19. This mandate will lasts until March 15, 2021. (Diocsil Sanico, RPN DXKP Pagadian OIC)
