PNP personnel of Labason MPS Led by PCPT ROY O MALAYO, OIC (Lead Unit) together with RDEU9, 2ND ZNPMFC, ZNPIU and ZNPDEU.
A Joint Buy-bust Operation was conducted that resulted in the arrest of ABDIL TARANG JANJALI, 44y/o (April 4, 1980) male, married, Filipino, fisherman and a resident of Brgy Kipit, Labason, Z.N. Arrested at around 7:03 am and ended at 7:45 am April 19,2024 at Purok 2 Barangay Lopoc,Labason Zamboanga del Norte.
Said suspect was arrested for selling one (1) pc small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be “shabu” as buy-bust evidence.
Confiscated item from his possession and control during the operation were Three (3) pcs heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be Shabu put in the bottle cap of tanduay serve as container of possession items with estimated weight of more or less 3 grams with a standard drug price of MOL Php 20,400.00, one (1) pc genuine Five Hundred Peso bill (Php 500.00) bearing serial number LW246416 (mark money), one (1) disposable lighter color green and one (1) unit Samsung galaxy A53 color sky blue.
The operation was witnessed by Mr. Barry B Animos, Media Representative and Hon. Edwin D Hernandez, Brgy Chairman, Hon Edgar B Tejero, Brgy Councilor and Edmar B Almario, Brgy Councilor all Elected Barangay Officials of Lopoc, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.
The operation was documented by the use of 2 Alternative Recording Device (ARD) Body Camera Boblov T5 and Boblov DMT 200 in accordance with A.M. No. 21-06-08-SC.
Confiscated drug items will be turned over to ZN Provincial Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examination. Suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights and brought to Labason District Hospital for medical examination and now under the custody of Labason MPS for proper disposition. (Angelica T. Obina)
