The Zamboanga City Medical Center have conducted its vaccination simulation activity Tuesday morning inside the hospital premises.
More or less 50 health worker participants participated during the said activity.
During the simulation health workers will come in at the screening area where they will be assessed by doctors asking how are they feeling if they have other health concerns if the patient is okay and agreed to be immunized they will now be immunized.
In case they are hesitant or having second thoughts, they will be counseled and if they agree they will be vaccinated.
Aside from these, they also simulated adverse effects following immunization.
Dr. Afdal Kunting said, they are now ready to be vaccinated and for those who refused they will continue to advocate the advantage of vaccination.
He said, Sinovac uses dead virus, an old technology proven and tested and the vaccine is safe and effective.
Department of Health (DOH) regional office 9 led by Dr. Joshua Brillantes also observed the simulation and City Health Officer Dr. Dulce Miravite.
He said the simulation went well and it is better since the area is hospital setting and those who will receive the vaccine are from there. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
