Zamboanga: The Awardee of the Brigada Eskwela, Best Implementing School in the Philippines conducts a face-to face Recognition Day

Yesterday, June 23,2022 Tetuan Central School, SPED Center conducted its first ever face-to-face Recognition Day after 2 long years. According the Chairman of the Program for the Gifted and Talented (PGT), Mrs. Kristy Ramillano, there were a total of 228 awardees and each was only allowed to bring one parent/guardian. Vehicles were all parked outside the school premise. Also, policemen and a couple of barangay officials were seen on the event; ensuring that the maximum health protocols were being observed.

Once again, the elementary students under the Program for the Gifted and Talented (PGT) were able to experience going up on the stage to receive their academic and extracurricular awards.

Mr. Edsel R. Francisco, School Principal of Tetuan Celtral School, SPED Center thanked the parents, teachers and other community stakeholders; for their active participation in all of the school projects. Additionally, he articulated that their partners in the community play a huge role in terms of improving the school and in achieving its goals. Hence, lead them to receive a number of awards from the Department of Education. The most recent is the Brigada Eskwela 2021, given to them last June 20, 2022 at the Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City, Philippines.

Moreover, Francisco expressed his gratitude to DepEd for allowing them to hold the said occasion. Mr. Francisco have been the school administrator of TCS, SPED CENTER for about one year and two months now. In his short speech emphasized, that in order for the children to succeed in life; their respective parents must be consistently involved in their holistic development.

Furthermore, he encouraged everyone to treat the learners with a great deal of love, so that they will be more confident and optimistic in facing not just the academic challenges, but other problems that comes their way, too.
