Mayor Khymer Adan Olaso attended the launching of the first E-Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) in Region IX on May 12, 2026 at the Level 3 Carpark Building of SM City Mindpro.
The EVCS forms part of the sustainability initiatives of SM Supermalls under the SM Green Movement, which promotes cleaner mobility solutions and environmentally responsible practices aimed at supporting a greener future for communities.
Mayor Olaso congratulated and thanked SM City Mindpro for bringing the initiative to Zamboanga City, recognizing its contribution toward environmental sustainability and innovation in the region. In an interview, the mayor also shared plans to allocate budget for similar initiatives under the city government in support of clean and sustainable transportation.
