Zamboanga: Regional (PRISAA) Games 2023 and City Schools Division meet commences today


Mayor John Dalipe Friday morning joined PRISAA and Deped officials in formally opening the Regional Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Games 2023 and City Schools Division Meet at the Joaquin Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex (JEMSC) in Baliwasan.

Dalipe warmly welcomed the athletes, coaches, delegation officials and guests during the opening program for the twin sports events, as he reaffirmed his commitment to sports and youth development programs.

He expressed elation that the Regional PRISAA 2023, which is a prelude to the National PRISAA Games in July, is hosted by Zamboanga City, the emerging sports capital in this part of the country.

The Regional PRISAA brings in 700 athletes, coaches and delegation officials from the different private schools all over Zamboanga Peninsula while the Division Meet is participated by athletes from the different elementary and secondary schools under DEPED in Zamboanga City.

Present during the opening program were Councilors Jerome Santos and Cary John Pioc, PRISAA Regional Executive Director Elbert “Bong” Atilano, Schools Division Superintendent Majarani Jacinto and other DEPED and PRISAA Regional officials.
