Zamboanga: PSA 9 to register 1,900 ZCJ PDL’s to PhilSys

The Zamboanga City Jail (ZCJ) together with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is registering 1,900 ZCJ PDL’s to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) which started Wednesday morning inside the jail facility.

SJO2 Rey Laurence Comprendio, ZCJ Information Officer, these 1,900 PDLs to be registered are all fully vaccinated.

He said, this was the directive of thier national office where they first registered these PDLs in the online registration then they conducted the taking of the PDLs biometrics Wednesday.

Three computers are being used for the processing being handled by the personnels of the PSA and assisted by the ZCJ.

They will finish taking the biometrics of these 1,900 PDLs for more than a week. This was made possible by the PSA and the ZCJ headed by J/Supt. Nathanel Aljas.

“Mas bueno este kay chene ya sila ID cay mayoria canila nohay ID.” Comprendio said.

For the Step 1 of the PhilSys, name, sex, date and place of birth, blood type, address, Filipino or alien, marital status, and email address will be asked. For Step 2, photos, iris scan, and fingerprints will be taken.

The final Step, Step 3 is the issuance of PhilSys number and Identification Cards.

Republic Act 11055 known as the Philippine Identification System Act. It is an act establishing a single national identification system that aims to provide a valid proof of identity for Filipino Citizens.
