ZDS73 – A 20 y.o male, from Purok 3, Salaogan, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur. An authorized personnel outside of residence( APOR),working at a Department Store. Arrived from Zamboanga City last September 26, 2020 with an IgM reactive result and was admitted at the Municipal Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility but on the 30th of September, the individual developed cough, thus nasopharyngeal swab was performed that yields positive for SARS- COV- 2. The individual is still at the isolation facility and is in stable condition.
ZDS74 – A 31y.o,male from Blancia St. Purok. Mangga, Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur. No history of exposure to a confirmed COVID case and no history of travel to other areas. An IgM reactive and as a result of their company’s conduct of mass rapid diagnostic testing. A nasopharyngeal swab was also performed after the individual exhibits cough and sore throat that yields Positive for SARS- COV-2. Currently admitted at Molave Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility and is in stable condition.
ZDS75 – A 59 y.o female from Purok. Dahlia, Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur and with Temporary address at Alta Tierra Tiguma, Pagadian City. No history of travel to other areas with local transmission nor exposed to a Confirmed Covid case. An owner/ operator of a small merchandise located at Pagadian City Public Market. Sought consult in a private hospital in Pagadian City last September 28, 2020 due to poor appetite and abdominal pain radiating at the back. A nasopharyngeal swab was performed after an IgM reactive result in the rapid diagnostic test. She was transferred/ referred to a government hospital in Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur for further evaluation and management. A positive SARS-COV- 2 result came in today. Currently admitted in the isolation unit of the hospital and in stable condition.
ZDS76 – A 66 y.o male, foreigner, with temporary address at Prk.2, Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. Admitted in a private hospital last September 27, 2020 due to loss of sense of smell, taste aside from being a dialysis patient.
Nasopharyngeal swab was performed on the same day. Unfortunately, he expired a few hours at the emergency room. Post mortem care done based on Covid protocols and was immediately buried. RT-PCR result came in today that yields a SARS- COV- 2 result.
Contact tracing and health monitoring by the local health authorities is currently on going including the person who initiated the burial rites.
The general public is strongly reminded to continue to practice basic health protocols( wearing of face mask, frequent handwashing, physical distancing when in public places) and avoid non – essential travel to places/ areas with cases of local transmission within the bounds of Zamboanga del Sur or outside of the Province.
