As of the moment, the finishing touches and final check on the fixtures are being done by both the contractor and personnel of the City Engineer’s Office.

The terminal expects an increase in the number of passengers traveling this Lenten Season and that the present temporary and dilapidated comfort room might not be able to hold such volume of travelers.

ZC – IBT Supervising Transportation Regulation Officer Rafael Derick Garcellano Evangelista III said that the renovated comfort rooms were expanded twice its previous size and that it is now fully air-conditioned. Moreover, two new septic tanks were built and each has the size that of a bus.

Evangelista also announced that the renovation and rehabilitation of the comfort rooms at the ZC – IBT Arrival Building is about to start as soon as the Bids and Awards Committee issues the Notice to Proceed to the winning bidder or contractor.

According to Evangelista, the priority is to renovate and rehabilitate the comfort rooms of the terminal as this is necessary and for the convenience of the passengers. According to him, once the comfort rooms at the arrival area would be renovated, the problem would be a thing of the past. He is hopeful that it would start immediately and that the arrival building comfort rooms would be ready by October to December 2022.
