Police operatives of Molave Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PMAJ. Willie Joy B. Pogado and 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted joint law enforcement operation on the service of search warrant at Purok Maalagaron, Brgy. Blancia, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur at 3:20 AM of October 2, 2020. This led to the arrest of Jap Eric Cupido Lesiguez, 37 years old, married, Driver, and a resident of above-mentioned place.
He was arrested based on the Search Warrant # 99 for violation of RA 10591 issued by Presiding Judge, 1st Municipal Trial Court, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur dated September 25, 2020 against recovered firearms and ammunitions during the operation which were One (1) unit of KG-9 Submachine Gun, two units long magazine for KG 9 Submachine Gun, caliber 9mm with silencer bearing serial number 936135; Eight pieces caliber 9mm live ammunitions; One (1) unit caliber .38 Revolver with defaced serial number; Two live ammunitions of caliber .45 pistol.
Suspect is now under the temporary custody at Molave MPS for proper disposition.
