PNP Special Operation Unit 9 (PNP–DEG) led by PLTCOL. John Francis Encinareal together with Margosatubig Municipal Police Station conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy. Digon, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur at 4:20 PM of October 1, 2020. The operation resulted to a shootout incident and the neutralization of Mansor Mangoda, legal age, of Brgy. Igat, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur (Died during the police operation)
Confiscated during the operation were more or less 3 kilograms of suspected shabu with estimated DDB market value of ₱ 20.4 million and One (1) unit caliber .45 pistol.
He was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival at 4:50 PM of same date by the attending physician.
Meanwhile, another drug personality identified as Moner Salasain Isnani, married, 27 years old, fisherman was arrested by joint operatives of Talusan Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company in drug buy-bust operation at Purok 1, Brgy. Moalboal, Talusan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 8:45 PM of October 1, 2020.
Confiscated during the operation were two (2) sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 0.090 grams and DDB value of ₱ 1, 000.00 and Five Hundred Pesos (.₱ 500.00) as marked money.
He is now under the custody of Talusan MPS for proper disposition.
